Go on and close the curtains

For someone who confessed yesterday to being a proper pixel prude, I’ve realised that this week I haven’t really blogged a whole deal of clothes. I must just be in some kind of mood the last few days!

So today I just really wanted to show you this Celeste skin from Belleza, out now at Uber. There’s a ton of really unique make up options available to fit the celestial theme, but I went with 01, which is something more day to day for this shot. I always love the noses on Belleza skins, it’s one my favourite features. Miss Shyla’s work on Celeste is nothing but the usual high standard and I look forward to being able to take more shots in her.

I added the unique, Bubble Necklace from Glam Affair, also out at Uber, just so I wasn’t totally naked. It made all the difference. It’s a gorgeous statement piece, would look great with a LBD, which is exactly how I plan to wear it! When I’m clothed of course.

Carry me home tonight

I know this coat from Aphorism has been all over Flickr for a couple of weeks, since it was released at The Season’s Story, but I swear I had been planning to do this picture before today! The problem I had was needing a new lingerie set to go with it. That’s one thing I absolutely lack in SL.

Any of my friends will attest to the fact that I’m one of the biggest prudes they know when it comes to taking my pixel clothes off, so I just really don’t ever find the need for tons of undies. Unless an alpha is failing me of course! Anyway, I bumped into someone a couple of days ago who told me about this new set from Elymode. It comes with all your applier layers (I’m wearing the Maitreya Lara version) as well as standard system layers, and best of all? It’s FREE. Ok, it’s free to group members but the group is only 125L to join, which you’d probably pay more for the set anyway. It’s a pretty sweet and sexy set, perfect for mesh body lovers.

Necklace and hair from Random Matter and Little Bones respectively, both new releases for Uber were perfect additions to this look. As well as the Mon Dieu tattoo from Space Mermaid, which now has a bunch of tattoos on appliers for the Maitreya body.

I’m feelin’ electric tonight

Uber started a new round this weekend, with it’s Celestial theme. So many great items this round, I picked out a couple for this post.

First of all this hair from Little Bones, I can’t get enough of. Seriously in love. Loose waves and the tucked behind the ear look are a great combo. I also love the partings that Nova has added to a lot of her hairs lately, such a small thing but makes a big difference in styles. I’d really love to see more of these waves on the grid too!

I think this headpiece and necklace set is one of my favourite releases from Zibska in a while. You can’t see the necklace awesomely coz I had to wear this hair, but I like the way some of the gems are just trickling out from beneath it. Overall it’s a super pretty piece that will class up an outfit in an instant.

Finally I’m wearing the new Ellie skin from Glam Affair. There are always debates and comments about Glam Affair skins looking the same, I know that because I wear them regularly there’s a good chance I’ll be seen as just a biased fan girl, but it’s not the case. If you don’t try on every Glam Affair skin on your own shape, then honestly I don’t know how you can make that call. Because as someone who DOES do that, I can tell you the skins are vastly different. Particularly the most recent releases. I’ve been wearing Sia II since it was released a couple of months ago, but I couldn’t resist Ellie. When I tried it on I was honestly blown away at how different I looked. I’ve included an unedited, raw shot for a side by side comparison, before I adjusted my shape to fit Ellie better for the picture above.

I had to change my eye shape, make them wider and yet smaller at the same time. My eyes are usually pretty narrow anyway, but with Ellie it didn’t look right. I adore the nose and lips on this skin, but I’m so used to seeing myself in Sia II now, that I don’t know if I can make such a big change for every day use. Still, I think I look cute, even if I do say so myself.

Feet don’t fail me now

Have a quick LOTD for you all today, and a reminder that you only have a few days to pick items up at FaMESHed and Uber! Uber is changing it’s start date as of this month, so the new opening day will be the 25th of every month. That means you only have 2 more days before the current round is closed, so make sure you visit and pick up Reign’s fabulous Avanti bag.

I’m wearing the recent Coco leather jacket that’s still out for a few days at FaMESHed, as well as the Zoe skirt from Emery. Both of these stores are easily in my top 5 for clothes in SL, based on quality and style, so pairing them together is always an easy decision.

I’m also wearing JD’s Sky stilettos from January’s FaMESHed as well, which, yes, I know I blogged last week. BUT, like I said then, they’re really a staple item. One of the great things about JD shoes is that you can always mix and match the mesh socks they make with them too.

Finally I’m wearing the new scarf from Pixicat out at The Seasons Story. I’m a firm believer than you can never have too many scarves, so this is a great addition to my ever growing collection.

Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable

I’ve got a bit of a fancy LOTD for you guys today, featuring this fab new dress from Pixicat, out at 3pm SLT this afternoon at The Secret Affair! Thea feathery skirt part comes in both black and white, with a bunch of colour options for the top. I debated doing something softer with the white feathers and nude or peach up top, but in the end I decided that black was just more me. I’m boring like that.

Anyway I styled it up by adding this gorgeous pearl collar from The Forge, which is still available to purchase at this month’s Uber round. It’s a really great piece to glam up an LBD like this and give you a unique, stand out look. I added the bowler hat from Deadwool which I loooooove and I’m sure will feature in more pics in the future, as well as the sassy Sangria heels from Reign, out now at FaMESHed.

The hair is a unisex freebie from Tableau Vivant, and the bag is an older, but still fabulous, item from LaGyo. Overall I was really happy with how this look turned out, and I hope you like it too!

So this is the new year and I don’t feel any different

I’m back after a somewhat extended vacation for the holidays. Despite the emo look of this picture I had a lovely time! Hope you all did and are enjoying 2015 so far.

So many events opened while I was away and I’ve got a fair bit of catching up to do, so I mixed a bunch of items from Uber and FaMESHed for this picture.

High waisted pencil skirts are one of my favourite things to wear right now, and sparkles, hello! This skirt at Uber is full of win for me and is an easy party outfit with the blouse that Tres Blah released to go with it. I paired it with my new all time favourite stilettos, Sky by JD, out now at FaMESHed. I’ve been wearing these every day since I got back to the pixel world and I’d recommend them as a staple item for everyone!

I love the uniqueness of this bench from Kalopsia, also out at Uber in the Opulence round. It has a bunch of anims in and comes in both black and white. Great for decor or a picture prop! It also matched perfectly with these fab bunny curtains from Glam Affair, which is part of their decor collection out at The Kawaii Project.

I have a LOTD for you guys which I just can’t get enough of. This hair from Clawtooth…in my eyes, it couldn’t be more perfect. The tousled locks and the scarf that wraps around them makes it super appealing to me and great for pictures. I’m also beyond excited with the updates to Clawtooths blondes! I admit before that I never full felt like they sat right on me, but with the “Bodacious blondes” pack now available, I know I’ll be buying more and more.

Also, yay for new fur jackets! I am so happy that Birdy released one at C88 this round and I don’t mind admitting that I hope other designers follow suit soon too. I’m not one of those people who thinks I only need one of something and like to see a variety of similiar items even. Same applies for things like jeans! I’ll never have enough, which is why it was great to see these new ones released from Lumiere at FaMESHed last week.

My turtle neck top is a recent release from the new brand Seul, out now for this months round of Uber. It’s long in the back and cropped in the front, making for a stylish and unique look. To finish this whole outfit off, I added the new, adorable Mina heels from Reign, and the Tassel bag from Zenith, out at Anybody and The Arcade respectively.

Make my wish come true

C88 opened it’s doors today to a fabulously cosy round for December. I’m wearing the new, oversized cape from Pixicat that you can pick up there, along with it’s fur hood. This matched perfectly with the Snowdrift hair from Tableau Vivant, which has got to be one of this months must have hair purchases. It’s a great style to wear cosied up with a sweater and jeans, or dressed up for a party night. Either way you’ll get plenty of use out of it!

LaGyo released two gorgeous collections for C88 as well, this adorable bow headband and the faux fur clutch are part of them. There are a ton of other great little accessories too, all to help you get in that festive spirit!

I’m also wearing the new skinny, ripped jeans from Emery and the Navajaro fringe boots from JD, both of which are winter staples that you can grab at this month’s round of FaMESHed.

An outdoorsy LOTD for you today, I headed on over to my favourite location – Neva Sky Villi – for this autumn pic.

Mostly I just wanted to show you guys this new sweater dress from Bueno that’s out now at Kustom9. With it’s form fitting shape, it’s easy to layer with vests or large jackets and works perfectly with leggings, stockings or bare legs. Sweater dresses are always versatile and simple to style in these colder months, so it’s an easy purchase!

She rules her life like a fine skylark

Quick LOTD for you guys with lots of new items and a bunch that were released last week at C88. I’ve only just gotten round to shop there but I really love the Modern Alchemist theme that’s going on.

Little Bones are participating as a guest and this is one of THREE hairs that you can find from them there. Big curls and a hat included, it was love at first sight for me. The cardigan from Emery is a great staple item for my inventory, honestly I can never resist a cardi. Any designer that makes one, is pretty much guaranteed to get Ls from me. This one was easy to pair with the laced up pants from Ison.

Also from this witchy round of C88 are the necklace and clutch from LaGyo. As usual LaGyo have released a complete set that is perfectly themed for the event and these are just a couple of the unique, inspired pieces you can pick up. The bookcases in the background can be found there too, made by Lark they come with and without decor.

The top under my cardi is the metal top from Pixicat, released today at the main store in a selection of colours there are also a blue and green coloured version available for FLF, today only! Don’t miss out on that bargain and make sure you visit to pick it up.

Finally I added the Roche fringed boots from Baiastice that are out at November’s round of FaMESHed. I was ecstatic when I saw these, I do love me some fringe in fall! They’re super easy to dress up and down too.
