Letting It Go

Hiiii people, just a quickie post today before I vanish for the weekend, but I wanted to show you a couple of new things.

First this top from Tulip which you can grab today for Fifty Linden Friday, it’s so soft and floaty and perfect for the light spring season. I’m also wearing another new release from Drift which are these capris. I really like that Drift makes regular releases rather than waiting a month or 2 before releasing a small collection. Don’t get me wrong I like that too but yanno, I’m impatient and I like to have stuff right this minute. Also before you think I PS’d the heck out of the pants, I didn’t. They are already heavily shaded, which is great for taking pics because it saves a lot of edit time. Just like Kalli’s recent releases they come with a colour change HUD, so lots of options for a bargain price.

I got this belt a few days ago at Le Poppycock’s 50L spring sale, they have a few belts there that come with 4 different coloured straps for each buckle. Make sure you check out their sale as they have lots of cute little bits and pieces which are great for adding to outfits.

I gotta say too, this hat with the hair is obviously a release from Maitreya last year but I love it so much, I really hope we start to see more similar items from other hair creators as the warmer seasons kick in, there just aren’t enough of these on the grid imo!

Silent Questions

I really suck at picking names for my posts and I can’t take the credit for this one, coz it was the name of the pose that I used. It’s from Le Poppycock and I can’t get enough of their poses recently. It’s a small store but well worth checking out, the poses have a lot of character in them.

Fridays are always manic for me and so this is just a quick LOTD with some items I picked up in the Black Friday sales as well as at other events or sales recently.

The bag and boots are both at L’accessoires Black Friday sale by Handverk and Lassitude & Ennui respectively. I’m in love this bag already and think I need to go back and get it in a couple more colours since it’s only 100Ls!

The hat and hair combo came from LaViere for this weeks FLF, make sure you grab it before the day is out!

You know what that means! Lots of goodies for 50Ls! I picked up this dress from the FLF round today at House of Fox. It’s partial mesh, so the top is in a system layer and the skirt is mesh so that means layers people! I think I’d actually like to see more of this during autumn and winter because as you know it’s really hard to layer with mesh and I’d love to see some nice dresses that you could wear with cardigans or jackets, like this one.

Also new is this Doce hat from Guardian’s (on the marketplace) which is every bit as sweet as it’s name. It’s mesh but not rigged so you can resize it, which is always needed for hats. It was hard to get hats to fit over non mesh hair and I used to copy the hair, put the hat on and then basically rip the hair to pieces editing it, so that I didn’t have parts poking out here there and everywhere. Obviously you can’t do this with rigged mesh hair, so my tip is to look out for some styles that are kind of “flat”. I don’t mean crap, I mean where the hair around the head is not loaded with volume. If it’s relatively sleek then it’s a piece of cake to wear a hat with, this Rashida hair from Truth is exactly what I mean so the  hat fits really well with it.

Yes I’m wearing the G Field leggings again, can’t help it, I love them! They’re so cute and go perfectly under skirts and dresses.

FLF Goodies and a Zebra

Just a quick snap to show you a couple of new goodies! First of all my favourites from this weeks FLF, these cute mesh glasses from Ison and this cropped tank from Tulip! Both of these stores are quickly becoming firm favourites for me and it always gets me excited when I see them on the FLF list, I can’t wait to see more new items from them both.

Now on to my zebra. I’ve written recently about Korundi, which is a new mesh jewellery store by Shansa Resident. During a conversation with her yesterday, I mentioned how there were a lot of panda and owl jewellery pendants etc around in SL, but no zebras! I showed her a picture of a ring with a zebra head on it that I have in real life (yes, I have a thing for -fun- jewellery, it’s my mother’s fault) and said I’d love to see something similar in SL. Well a mere 3 hours later, a zebra head ring was dropped in to my inventory and I let out a big squee! So today Shansa made a full set, the zebra ring, this necklace that I’m wearing and some matching earrings, all mesh and only 149Ls for the set! Autumn is Coming – LOTD

As the end of summer is approaching Maitreya have made their “Summer Part 2″ release. These items are perfect for that change of season.

The tunic is a must have for when the evening breeze turns a bit cooler, and I just know that I’m going to wear these boots to death. Being a massive “flats” fan and more of a casual girl they’re pretty much an essential for me.

I’m also wearing some new mesh bangles by Korundi (I told you she was working hard to put out new items every day or two!). When Shansa first told me she was going to start making mesh jewellery I practically begged her for bangles and bracelets as I probably have the hardest time finding ones that I like over any other accessory. I have a couple of pairs that aren’t even mesh, but that I wear all the time, so I was especially happy when she released these earlier on today.

First this cute dress from Tulip. It’s mesh, it’s simple and also comes in a peachy shade. I <3 it.

The hair flower is from LaGyo – can’t get enough of this shop lately. Lots of good stuff coming from them for events and showcases like FLF and TDR. Make sure you check them out!

Finally this necklace…it wasn’t actually in FLF, but Miel didn’t have their item out when I went (or when I went back later…this annoys me.) so I hit their subscribo and got this necklace with matching earrings as a group gift!

Lazy Friday LOTD & Limited Bazaar

Yep it’s Friday! Yep, I’m feeling lazy!

Today saw the first round of a new event called Limited Bazaar, hosted by Euphoria. Every 2 weeks 15 designers will display limited editions for 150Ls. There will only be 100 of each item available. I have to say I think this is a pretty great idea for a showcase, it’s something different to the others (and there are a lot of others now) and it gives people the chance to purchase something that they don’t have to worry about running in to 20 people wearing at the same time. (Do we worry about that in virtual world? I don’t actually worry about it but I have to admit that I like the idea of owning something not many others do.) Anyway, I think it’s a great idea and I really hope this event takes off.

I have to admit that I didn’t actually hear about Limited Bazaar (I know – slacker!) until I saw it in a stores group notice today, I checked the time and it opened at 12pm SLT…which wasn’t good news for me as I expected to be out for RL at that point and I groaned a bit because I’d seen the Toki Doki releases and knew I had to get my hands on something at least. Luck was on my side today though and I was home earlier than expected, so I hot footed it over to Euphoria and yay! I managed to grab one of these limited edition Toki Doki cardigans. I love this cardi and I do have it in a couple of other colours already, I wear it a lot and I have blogged it before but this one is special so you get to see it again!

I know this is a very lazy post but actually this is kind of how I dress a lot of the time in world. Not with my bra on full display obviously…but just relaxed and casual and not over the top on accessories. Probably because I’m too lazy most days. In fact, I’m not even sure how I manage to blog at all my laziness can be so great.

So anyway, enough rambling. Oh! But this hair…it’s cute. Wasabi Pills at Hair Fair on the Water sim!

Finally…FLF (I had more to write than I thought). Love this chair from The Loft! It won’t go with my current house but unfortunately I’m one of those people who buys things -just in case- and sales and events like Fifty Linden Friday bring out the worst of that in me. Also this cute pose is from dfo! at FLF, so if you haven’t been yet you have a few more hours to go grab them!
