Take Me There

I don’t usually log on weekends but I had some time today and I decided to play with this pic that I’d procrastinated from blogging during the week.

I love this new skirt from Baiastice that was released for The Boutique. It comes in lots of different prints and colours, mostly floral which are fab for spring and also this brown suede effect, as well as a teal version. The suede texture is really detailed and it was so easy to build a look around this skirt.

The shirt and waistcoat are both recent releases from Ison and are easy enough to layer so long as you wear a bigger size waistcoat over the shirt (I’m wearing the M waistcoat and S shirt). The shirt also comes with a colour change HUD so you can get 3 colours for the price of one, which makes it an easy and staple purchase.

I love this hair that LOQ released last week and I’ve been wearing it for days. You can find it at The Dressing Room Fusion, although it is not discounted, but it’s a really relaxed style that is simple to dress up or down.

The picture was taken at a sim that I stumbled upon some pics of on Flickr, it’s really beautiful and I’d definitely recommend visiting, especially if you’re looking for a pretty place to snap some shots!

FLF Goodies and a Zebra

Just a quick snap to show you a couple of new goodies! First of all my favourites from this weeks FLF, these cute mesh glasses from Ison and this cropped tank from Tulip! Both of these stores are quickly becoming firm favourites for me and it always gets me excited when I see them on the FLF list, I can’t wait to see more new items from them both.

Now on to my zebra. I’ve written recently about Korundi, which is a new mesh jewellery store by Shansa Resident. During a conversation with her yesterday, I mentioned how there were a lot of panda and owl jewellery pendants etc around in SL, but no zebras! I showed her a picture of a ring with a zebra head on it that I have in real life (yes, I have a thing for -fun- jewellery, it’s my mother’s fault) and said I’d love to see something similar in SL. Well a mere 3 hours later, a zebra head ring was dropped in to my inventory and I let out a big squee! So today Shansa made a full set, the zebra ring, this necklace that I’m wearing and some matching earrings, all mesh and only 149Ls for the set! C88 – August Baroque!

Collabor88 are celebrating their one year anniversary this month and included a lot of stores that have participated throughout the year. This means that there were lots of extra stalls set up, as well as lots more goodies to spend your Ls on!

The theme for this round is “baroque” and I have to admit I was a bit dubious, only because I’m more of a casual girl than opulent glam, so I wondered how many of the items I’d like.

Well I can tell you, I liked a lot. First of all this hair from Clawtooth…to me, this is my -perfect- hairstyle. Usually Clawtooth release 2 versions of a hair for C88, with the bangs or something styled a little bit different and I’ll normally prefer one over the other and just buy that one, but this time I loved them both and even though the difference is subtle, I still got them both. I just love everything about it, the braid and the way it is styled loosely, the slight wave around the face and the fly away textures. Really, I just can’t stop staring at it I’m that in love. Oh and of course it’s mesh, it doesn’t get any better!

Next this top from Glam Affair, I put the demo on and instantly knew I was gonna buy it. The shape and style are great and it’s something really different to anything else around at the moment, and fresh designs are always a welcome addition to my ever growing inventory.

This necklace from Maxi Gossamer…I rave about their jewellery a lot, I know! I just did it in the last post but this piece is something I’m going to wear over and over again. It comes with matching earrings and in silver as well as gold, all for 88Ls, and it’s mesh! Say what! That’s right, 88Ls, you couldn’t get a better buy anywhere else.

The final item I’m wearing in this post from C88 are these shoes from Ison. I wasn’t sure when I saw them in the store, but I grabbed the demo anyway and when I got home and tried them on, I instantly had to make a return trip to snap them up! They’re available in several different colours and each colour comes with both a plain and a baroque texture version. Amazarous work from Harry Hyx!

I’ve spent far too much money today but the 8th is always one of my favourite days of the month. So thank you to the team and creators who take part in Collabor88 every month, and happy anniversary, here’s to many more years of collaboration and inspiration!

Baby Bump and Mesh!

Since I posted last week with the baby bump and being unable to wear mesh, I kind of made it my mission to find some that I could wear. I know there are a few maternity mesh outfits on the marketplace but I wanted something that I could wear when I’m without the belly too.

So I was making an attempt to organise my inventory the other day and….woah, what’s this! It’s the ISON Draped Crop Tee that I picked up at Culture Shock and completely forgot all about! (that’s not uncommon for me, sadly). So I threw it on all excited and yay, it fit! The tee hangs perfectly over my bump and this is definitely something that I’d wear normally anyway.

Obviously I have to wear a tank under it because when you stretch your stomach on the avie mesh like that…the stomach muscles that were so nicely shaded by the skin creators? Yea, doesn’t look so good when you’re hefting a size 46 belly around. So again, Jane’s freebie tanks came to the rescue, although I’ve told myself I really, really must find something else to wear instead of them, because seriously, it’s been every day for about 2 weeks.

I haven’t mentioned this hair before either, even though it was released last week I think, but it’s one of Elikatira’s latest and I love it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Elikatira is possibly my favourite mesh hair right now. I love the colour tones she provides, the rigging on the mesh is great and of course the styles are always fresh and yummy. Oh! And I love the Essentials pack she does! Two of each colour, blondes, browns, reds one black and one white. I used to always buy brunette hairs because continuity was important in the role play I did, but now that I’m no longer active there I can switch it up and while I tend to still go for brunette shades the majority of the time, the Essentials pack gives me a chance to pick and choose what colour I want to have that day for a fraction of the cost of a full colour set. The mixed Essentials pack is only 280Ls whereas individual colour packs are 250Ls. That was a smart move because now I’m gonna spend that little bit extra every time, instead of just getting my regular brown and sticking with it. Win win for everyone!
