Getting Tipsy

It was about time I did another post with my friend Harper, so when the opportunity came up to get a sneaky preview of the new GOL 9th Club that’s opening soon, we jumped at the chance.

GOL 9th  is the newest edition to the GOL clubs and will open officially this Friday, the 24th of May at 10am SLT. The creator and founder, Dakota Neumann has done a great job, with lots of amazing, unique textures setting the scene of a chic nightclub. I’ll definitely be popping by when they open! SLURL is here, you won’t be able to gain access until Friday, but that’s ok, it gives you plenty of time to plan a fabulous outfit!

I’m wearing a cute new hair that’s available from Dura, along with the new bad kitty collar from Maxi Gossamer at Limited Bazar. It’s texture change with several different animal skin prints, I picked it up this morning and they still weren’t sold out so still time to grab it!

I’m wearing the striped pants which are a sleek, recent release from Coco and I added the Lari halterneck from Baiastice that you can find at The Boutique, plenty of colours to choose from with both! Also the Baiastice Jean shoes, I know I’ve blogged them before but I just love love them, so versatile!

There was a shoe frenzy this weekend, after Maitreya released the Shiki platforms on Friday, Gos followed up with the Gos Boutique range and 4 amazing designs for us ladies. I seriously felt spoilt for choice but from the new Gos shoes, these Sophia peeptoes are definitely my favourite.

I think most people will agree that matching the skin on any mesh body part to your actual skin is a complete pita. Well not with the new Gos shoes! When you wear the HUD a pop up appears asking if you want to go to the website, I pasted that address to my browser where I was automatically shown logged in. On the website there is just about every popular skin designer you can imagine, plus all the tones pre programmed. I simply clicked Glam Affair, America then the sync button on the HUD and the exact match for that skin appeared! One click and bam, instant match! It really doesn’t come any easier than this and I’ll be crossing my fingers and toes that this will be something other creators pick up on!

Another of Maitreya’s new releases on Friday was this little leather skirt and I added the new mesh shirt and cropped sweater from Coco which is really adorable. Oh and new Truth hair! This lovely Laurie style has a ponytail at the back and some loose bangs that frame your face perfectly.

It wasn’t until I put this outfit on that I realised how skinny my avatar has been getting lately. I tend to just change my body shape (body fat and muscle) depending on the outfit I’m wearing which doesn’t bother me at all. But when I had to slim down my legs again so that I could fit into the XS skirt to layer with the M top was when it really hit me. I think I’ve been slimming down and forgetting to ever go back up again so I’m gonna have to write a note to myself about that! Do you ever change your avie shape just for certain outfits? Or would you rather not buy unless the item fits perfectly?

Baby Bump and Mesh!

Since I posted last week with the baby bump and being unable to wear mesh, I kind of made it my mission to find some that I could wear. I know there are a few maternity mesh outfits on the marketplace but I wanted something that I could wear when I’m without the belly too.

So I was making an attempt to organise my inventory the other day and….woah, what’s this! It’s the ISON Draped Crop Tee that I picked up at Culture Shock and completely forgot all about! (that’s not uncommon for me, sadly). So I threw it on all excited and yay, it fit! The tee hangs perfectly over my bump and this is definitely something that I’d wear normally anyway.

Obviously I have to wear a tank under it because when you stretch your stomach on the avie mesh like that…the stomach muscles that were so nicely shaded by the skin creators? Yea, doesn’t look so good when you’re hefting a size 46 belly around. So again, Jane’s freebie tanks came to the rescue, although I’ve told myself I really, really must find something else to wear instead of them, because seriously, it’s been every day for about 2 weeks.

I haven’t mentioned this hair before either, even though it was released last week I think, but it’s one of Elikatira’s latest and I love it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Elikatira is possibly my favourite mesh hair right now. I love the colour tones she provides, the rigging on the mesh is great and of course the styles are always fresh and yummy. Oh! And I love the Essentials pack she does! Two of each colour, blondes, browns, reds one black and one white. I used to always buy brunette hairs because continuity was important in the role play I did, but now that I’m no longer active there I can switch it up and while I tend to still go for brunette shades the majority of the time, the Essentials pack gives me a chance to pick and choose what colour I want to have that day for a fraction of the cost of a full colour set. The mixed Essentials pack is only 280Ls whereas individual colour packs are 250Ls. That was a smart move because now I’m gonna spend that little bit extra every time, instead of just getting my regular brown and sticking with it. Win win for everyone!
